Anyone who knows Jayme and Dave know just how amazing they are. And if you have been blessed to be able to attended their wedding you saw just what we all have known all along… Just how in love and truly beautiful Jayme and Dave are together.
Their wedding was full of love, laughter, many silly dance moves, sweet memories, and a thunderstorm to tie it all together.
The thunderstorm started to move in as Jayme and Dave had their ‘First Look’ together. And then just as our couple stood in front of their friends and family and began to vow their lives to each other… the heavens opened up and the rain began to fall.
They say rain on a wedding day is the luckiest of things… because it signifies that your marriage will last. As you know, a knot that becomes wet is extremely hard to untie – therefore, when you “tie the knot” on a rainy day, your marriage is just as hard to unravel!
Jayme and Dave shared their special day with those they loved, and danced the night away.
It was a perfect wedding!
THE PHOTOGRAPHER’S VIEW: My favorite part of their special day!
As the family and guest stepped away to prepare for the Bride and Groom’s exit. As the vendors began to pack things up and clear the tables. As our Bride and Groom stayed back and waited for their exit. I watched as Dave did something truly breathtaking…
You see the whole night Dave could NOT take his eyes off his Bride. You could truly see his love for her the way he would watch her laugh and dance the night away. You knew by the way Dave looked at his Bride that he knew just how lucky he already was to have such an amazing woman to call his wife. But it was in this moment you knew their story was unlike any other. It was in this moment you saw Dave embrace a little moment the two of them will always remember.
Jayme was on the dance floor with Dave as they danced to their final song of the night… All alone just the two of them. As I watched Dave walk away and return with two slices of wedding cake and a big smile on his face. He told her, “Let’s enjoy this last moment together. And have some cake.”
To many this may be the silliest of things and nothing to gush about.
As a photographer who has captured many weddings… It was this moment when no one was watching (or so they thought) that these two love birds embraced their wedding and took in the final moments they will remember forever.
It was the sweetest, most real, and beyond genuine gift Dave was able to give his Bride. To see the way they enjoyed that moment, that last song, and their wedding cake… It was the perfect end to their day.
It was as if the world had stopped and they melted into each other. ❤
